Reconciling Bitget Futures Realised PnL with Fees and Funding Each Month
The realised profit shown on Bitget futures may not match your balance change at a glance. This review explains how fees, funding and transfers fit together and how to reconcile them monthly.
Bitget | the reader's region | the reader's funding currency | independent comparison and evidence
Bitget shows realised profit for closed futures positions, and many traders treat that number as their result. Then they notice their futures balance moved by a different amount. The gap usually comes from items recorded separately: trading fees, funding settlements, transfers in and out, and sometimes bonus or voucher adjustments. A monthly reconciliation that accounts for each item explains the difference and builds trustworthy records. This review explains how to do it.
Gathering the four kinds of entries
Export or review the futures transaction history for the month. Separate entries into realised profit and loss, trading fees, funding payments and receipts, and transfers between the futures account and other accounts. Bitget's futures documentation describes how each entry type is recorded. Note any promotional credits separately so they do not distort your trading results.
Building the reconciliation
Start with the futures balance at the beginning of the month. Add realised profit and loss, subtract fees, add or subtract funding, and add or subtract transfers. The result should match the closing balance, apart from unrealised profit on positions still open. If it does not match, look for missing entry types or transfers made from another device that you forgot. Small rounding differences are normal; large ones deserve a closer look.
Interpreting what you find
Once the pieces are separated, patterns appear. Some traders discover that fees and funding together exceed their realised profit, meaning the strategy loses money after costs despite winning trades. Others find funding receipts are a meaningful part of results. Compare fee totals against the official Bitget fee page for your tier to confirm nothing unexpected is being charged.
Keeping the records
Save each month's export in a folder named by year and month, alongside a short summary of the reconciliation. Keep a backup offline. These records support tax reporting where required and help resolve any questions with support. Over a year, the monthly summaries give you a clear picture of where your futures results really come from.
