USDT Versus USDC on Bitget: Comparing Network Support Before You Transfer

Guides · 2026-10-09

Many traders default to USDT for every transfer without considering USDC, or the reverse. On Bitget, the two stablecoins may be supported on different sets of networks, with different fees and minimums. Your choice can also be shaped by which stablecoin the other side supports best. Reviewing both before a transfer sometimes reveals a cheaper or more compatible route. This guide explains how to compare them using the information Bitget shows on its deposit and withdrawal pages.

Listing networks for each stablecoin

On the Bitget deposit page, select USDT and note the supported networks, then do the same for USDC. Repeat on the withdrawal page, where fees and minimums are shown for each. Then check the other side of the transfer, whether a wallet or another platform. Lay the options side by side. Often one stablecoin has a clean overlap on a low-fee network while the other does not.

Considering what you will trade

If your trading pairs on Bitget are mostly quoted in USDT, arriving with USDC means an extra conversion, with its own spread and fee. Check the official fee page for the rate on that conversion. Sometimes paying a slightly higher network fee to transfer the stablecoin you will actually trade is cheaper overall than saving on transfer and converting afterwards.

Address formats and memo requirements

Several networks share similar address formats, so an address alone does not tell you which network it belongs to. Confirm the network explicitly on both sides. Some deposit routes also require a memo; include it exactly. Copy addresses directly from the official pages and compare the start and end after pasting, every time.

Testing and documenting your preferred routes

Once you find a reliable route for each stablecoin, document it: stablecoin, network, typical fee, required confirmations and the destination. Send a small test amount on first use. Recheck routes periodically, since networks can be added, suspended or changed. A short reference note means future transfers become quick decisions rather than fresh research.
